Promzy: I Had Sex With Bomaye

Promzy and Alex Biney aka Bomaye

Winner of the maiden edition of “I'm In Love with Bomaye” reality show, Promise Naa Okasai better known as Promzy has disclosed that she and her Television lover Alex Biney did things couples do even though they were not yet a couple.

Speaking on Peace FM’s “Entertainment Review” Promzy who has been dumped by Bomaye said “Yes we were dating so definitely we did what couples do”, Promzy answered when she was asked whether they had sex whiles they were dating.

She, however, stated categorically that she didn't have any sexual intimacy with Alex whiles they were in the reality house, adding that they only took the relationship to a different and higher level after they came out of the East Legon based house.

Alex Biney aka Bomaye, the king in the 13-week ‘I’m in love with Bomaye” reality show which ended some months ago on Multi TV, chose Promzy out of 13 beautiful ladies. He however called it quits with her via the social media.

Alex posted on his facebook wall - “My dear fans and friends, it's with deep displeasure that I address you. Firstly I want to personally thank all of you who supported me from the big brother platform to the I'm in love with... Project to any future endeavor I may pursue, I appreciate you guys a great deal because your support has established my presence in Ghana and Africa as a whole. Thank you and I love you. Promzy and I have ended our engagement, the decision was mutual, I'll always adore her and we will remain great friends, the split marks a new chapter for both of us. I wish you and your loved ones all a happy new and a prosperous 2013.

Meanwhile contrary to Alex’s claim in his statement that the decision for them to split was mutual, Promzy said “It was not mutual because I don’t know anything about it. He did it on his own accord; trust me I didn't know anything about it”.

According to Promzy, when she contacted Alex to ask why he didn't discuss with her before putting it on facebook, Alex said he was trying reach her but she failed to answer her phone.

“I believe breaking up is something we both have to sit, talk and come to some level of understanding before you do it. You can’t just wake up and put it out there that you have ended it. Maybe he has his reasons but I didn't know about it and it was not mutual”.

Promzy and Alex at an event

Though Promzy admitted on air that they had problems in their relationship, she never thought it would get to the extent of a break-up.
“Our relationship wasn't really smooth because we were having ups and downs. In the house, the way I saw things when we came out of the reality show, things were not as I was expecting but it was all relationship problems and I didn't think it would get to the point of him breaking up with me because we were still trying to work things out and he decided to call it quits”.

Promzy denied earlier reports that she was pressuring Alex to buy her a new car. “I was just trying to make our relationship perfect telling him to get a permanent job and do things on his own so that everything will be easy in our relationship. I never said he should buy a car for me because he doesn't even have a car himself, how then can i ask him to buy one for me”.

Promzy said it was not about money or material things “It was really not about money a lot of things happened like the normal relationship problems like selfishness, not being truthful and other petty problems. I was really trying to make things work because I chose love over money. So if Alex could just wake up one day and break up with me and put it on facebook; that he has ended our engagement without me knowing, then he didn't really value the relationship, Promzy lamented.

Promzy used the opportunity to apologize to her fans, all those who keenly watched the reality show and voted for her during the show “I really want to apologize to all my fans and those who voted for what has happened. He is the one who broke up with me so there is nothing I can do”.

Asked if she has accepted the break up, Promzy said “yes” adding that she is now single. Asked whether they (Promzy and Bomaye) should be taken serious, she said Alex should be made to answer that because everything was going on as planned until he decided to end it all.

When Peacefmonline.com contacted Alex Biney aka Bomaye he confirmed posting the break up statement on facebook but he refused to explain or answer any further questions stating that he would come to explain at the right time.

Promzy and Alex were scheduled to get married this February, after Alex went against the rules of the show to choose Promzy who had been evicted at the time over four finalists who genuinely qualified through public voting.

Lesbians And Prostitutes Take Over Accra Mall

One of the greatest challenges facing the managers of Accra Mall is how to deal with Lesbians and prostitutes, who are using the shopping centre as a fertile ground to practice their illegal trade.

One major area where such lesbians and prostitutes advertise themselves is behind the doors of the various female washrooms situated at the mall. As soon as one sits on the water closet, the first thing that strikes is the various writings behind the door.

The contact numbers and the names of the lesbians are written on the doors with blue and black ink. Some of them read: “Are you a lesbian? Call Lydia on …….. for a chat. If you are a white lesbian, call me on….. for relationship,” among others.

Apart from lesbians, some prostitutes have also written their phones numbers behind some of the restrooms for business.

Michael Oduro Konadu, the Marketing Officer of Broll Ghana Limited, managers of Accra Mall told Economic Tribune that: “it is difficult to identify a prostitute in the Mall because of the crowd that shows up on a daily basis.”

“Most young ladies who parade themselves on the corridors of the Mall are prostitutes either waiting to be picked up by their clients or looking out for men seeking sexual adventure. This makes their transactions more discreet,” Konadu added.

He disclosed that on a few occasions he had witnessed prostitutes being kicked out from the mall by the security team.

“Lesbians and prostitutes are posing great challenge to us, but we want to assure our customers that we shall deal with the problem as soon as possible. We have taken a new measure to bring in police patrol to the parking lot every morning and every evening,” Mr Konadu noted.

Why Men Kiss

Mercy Johnson & Majid Michel in a movie scene
The meeting of lips may feel harmonious, but it isn't. Men are always pushing to make kisses sloppier, while women always want to keep at them long after the show's over.

And kissing style isn't the only point of contrast: In light of recent findings by psychologists, a kiss shared between a man and a woman seems more like a clash of spirits than a meeting of souls.

"Women tend to use kissing to create a bond with their partners, and to assess them as potential mates," Susan Hughes, a psychologist at Albright College in Pennsylvania, told Life's Little Mysteries. "Meanwhile, men use kissing as a means to an end." That end being sex. "Males are kissing primarily to increase arousal for their partner," Hughes said.

Those statements may strike some as obvious and others as old-fashioned, but regardless, they're scientifically proven. Hughes and her colleagues published a study in the journal Evolutionary Psychology three years ago that helped test, and prove, several theories evolutionary psychologists have long held about kissing. The researchers probed the kissing preferences and opinions of more than 1,000 males and females in their sexual prime — college undergraduates — who were asked to mark their answers to a series of detailed kissing questions on a 5-point scale.

The results showed that both men and women consider kissing an important and highly intimate interaction. Both sexes use kissing to gauge the relationship compatibility of themselves and their partners. Furthermore, both may become more or less attracted to their partners based solely on their experience kissing them, a result that lends support to the theory that pheromones and other important biochemical signals get exchanged when people kiss.

But the similarities end there. While women usually consider a bad kiss to be a deal-breaker, men reported that they would more than likely still have sex with a woman even if she were a bad kisser. In other words, biochemical cues be damned!

In fact, the data showed that males feel much more strongly that kissing should lead to sex than females do, period. "Whereas females felt there was a greater likelihood that kissing should lead to sex with a long-term partner than a short-term partner, males felt that in either instance, kissing should lead to sex," the researchers wrote in their article.

Men also like significantly wetter kisses. The gender divide becomes drastic when the kissing involves short-term partners, who presumably hold primarily sexual rather than romantic appeal. In the short-term, men like kisses to be wet, while women do not. Psychologists hypothesize that males "perceive a greater wetness or salivary exchange during kissing as an index of the female’s sexual arousal/receptivity, similar to the act of sexual intercourse," Hughes wrote.

Follow-up research conducted in 2009 by Helen Fisher, an anthropologist at Rutgers University, even found that men pass testosterone to women via their saliva when they kiss, which may momentarily increase women's sex drive.

Perhaps more surprising than the fact that men like sloppy kisses is that "they'll even forgo kissing altogether if they can just have sex," Hughes told Life's Little Mysteries. Indeed, Hughes' survey found that over half of men would be willing to have sex with someone without kissing them, while only 14 percent of women would do so.

Sheril Kirshenbaum, a science journalist, extended that finding to adult men and women for publication in her book, "The Science of Kissing" (Grand Central Publishing 2011). She found that guys really don't grow out of their indifference to kissing: As in Hughes' survey, the adult men in her survey did more often than not express a willingness to have sex without kissing. Meanwhile, "Several women actually called or e-mailed asking why they'd even be in that situation in the first place," Kirshenbaum wrote. Two women asked if the survey question was referring to prostitution.

The gender divide is indeed dramatic; it even extends to when men and women like to kiss. "Basically, most men don't like to kiss after sex ," Hughes said. "This is even true of men in long-term, committed relationships, which we thought was a bit surprising." Though men typically want to kiss only until the sex starts, women like kissing before, during and after intercourse.

Why all the differences? "From an evolutionary perspective," Hughes explained, "females are limited re-productively so they want to bond with a mate , whereas males can have a lot of partners and so are generally more interested in having promiscuous sex. Both use kissing to get what they want."

In summary, women use kissing as a screening tool — to find a man with the right pheromones. Then, when a good mate is found, kissing is used to increase mutual feelings of attachment. Men, on the other hand, kiss primarily to gain sexual access.

A great kiss, then, by no means results from great minds thinking alike.

PHOTO: Anas impersonator Arrested By Adabraka Police

Joseph Osei at the Police station

A twenty seven year old man by name Joseph Osei, was on Saturday arrested by the personnel of the Adabraka Police for allegedly defrauding two companies of GHC 12, 200 under the guise of being a colleague of ace investigative journalist, Anas Armeyaw Anas.

Joseph Osei is alleged to have used fake documents to defraud the two unnamed companies in Tema and Accra after convincing them they were being investigated by Anas’s team.

Speaking to Citi News, the Adabraka Police Station Crime Officer DSP Ebenezer Nketia said "he goes to companies and tells them that Anas is investigating them.”

"Fortunately for him, he knows one of Anas’s workers so he managed to take some documents from their laptops and fixed names of companies where Anas is supposedly investigating and he presents the documents as if you are being investigated.”

Investigations revealed the assailant has been in operation for the past four months and managed to collect GHC 12, 000 from a first company and GHC 200 from the second.

Ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas is reported to have gotten wind of his nefarious activity and subsequently cautioned him against any further action.

DSP Ebenezer Nketia reveals “Joseph Osei has never worked with Anas but rather he had a problem and Anas helped him. He was even warned to stop what he was doing because Anas got to know about the first company he defrauded and cautioned him. Anas just got to know.”

Kwabena Kwabena 'Swerves' Asem In "Bye Bye" Video

Asem

The most anticipated music video for Asem’s smash hit song “Bye Bye” which features silky voiced Kwabena Kwabena from his “Solid Ground” album has finally been released.

The video which hit the internet yesterday is without the face of Singer Kwabena Kwabena whose voice on the chorus is obviously what made the song as big as it is now, aside Asem’s prolific rap lines.

After the video was released, fans of Asem and critics have expressed their disappointment for the fact that Kwabena Kwabena is conspicuous missing in the video, shot on location in Paris and Directed by two London based companies 233 Productions and Lost Boyz Films.

The absence of Kwabena Kwabena has indeed taken away the beauty of the video because his voice runs through the song from the beginning to end and his lines are the most memorable in the song, yet in the video its Asem’s face that is seen on Kwabena’s voice and at some point Asem even sings Kwabena Kwabena’s part.

The all-time classic song produced by Kaywa is one of the biggest hits in 2012 and the favorite of many especially the ladies but the video may affect the popularity of the song.

When Peacefmonline.com contact Asem to find out why Kwabena Kwabena was not featured in the video, Asem said the time the video was shot and the location could not meet Kwabena Kwabena’s schedule perhaps due some engagement he had during the election period among other circumstances beyond control so he had no choice than to shoot without him.

Asem agrees that off course it would have been nice and proper if Kwabena Kwabena was in the video he however, added that circumstances made it quite difficult but “I like the outcome of the video and its simplicity because it cuts across Africa and beyond”, Asem said.

Watch new "Bye Bye" video below:

Kweku Bonsam & Lover In New York

Nana Kwaku Bonsam with his lover Getrude in New York

Sensational fetish priest Nana Kwaku Bonsam has not been in the news for some time now and after combing all his shrines in search of him, NEWS-ONE has fished him out from a hideout in Bronx, New York, where he is blowing time with the love of his life, Gertrude, a pretty-faced London-based Ghanaian studying at the University of Greenwich.

Another interesting thing about Bonsam’s presence in New York is that he is taking time to undergo some minor surgery on portions of his scared-face after he got involved in gas accident as far back as 1986.

“Oh Naaaaa, I am not changing my face because of the cold here, I felt some pains on the burnt part of my face and I went for a review and was asked to do surgery on the part I felt the pain.

I have done the first two and it is left with the last one,” Bonsam told NEWS-ONE in a telephone interview when the paper asked him whether Ghanaians should expect him back with a new face.

The fetish priest said he was also taking time to ‘cool off’ a bit and undertake a retrospective analysis of his life and calling.

“Remember I have a following here too so it is not wrong to come see them and learn more things about life and the type of things I am involved in.

In Ghana, some people do not understand me and they think I should say only what they want to hear.

“Go and search the internet and you would be surprised at the insults I had when I said in August 2012 that the ‘All Die Be Die’ Nana Addo was saying was not helping him and that if he does not withdraw that statement, he would not become President.

People even called me stupid and I realized many, many, many people do not understand spiritual matters. But you just search it on the net and see if I am speaking the truth or not,” Bonsam noted.

Bonsam said he was also using his time in New York to visit various groups and institutions and speak to them about African traditions and religious practices.

“Oh I am enjoying New York. The people are friendly and they value what I do. But I would be in Ghana before Easter,” Bonsam added.

Tattooing, Plastic Surgery Not Sin Before God - Pastor

Tonto Dike
Reports say former presidential aspirant, Pastor Chris Okotie at a service held on Sunday January 13th at his church auditorium, Household of God Church said that tattooing their body or even undergoing plastic surgery is not a sin before God.

According to reports, the pastor said a lot of people misinterpret a scripture in the bible which is supposedly against body art and enhancement. He said getting tattoos and plastic surgery is an individual decision and has nothing to do with God.

A lot of people however disagree with the pastor’s position on tattoos and plastic surgery, his church members inclusive; more reason why a regular Sunday sermon has become a talking point today.

It is not unusual for people and even church members to disagree with their pastor’s views. We understand differently, but Pastor Okotie’s antecedents have brought up not-so-good comments following a sermon, one of the many he gives every year.

Hiplife Star Defiles Stepchild

 Deeba
Popular hiplife musician, Akyampong Deeba is in the grips of INTERPOL Ghana Office of Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for defilement.

His arrest however did not come without drama, not because he was arrested by Police but because of the involvement of ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Arabian friend, Sheikh Ibn Abu Talib.

Deeba was invited to a 5 star hotel here in Accra on Tuesday morning under the pretext of attending a music audition for already established music stars willing to revive their ambitions. It was during this time when he was giving a free style of his famous 'Deeba' track that Police men from INTERPOL section of the CID came in to arrest him.

Deeba is alleged to have repeatedly defiled his eight year old step daughter of his fiancee in the United Kingdom, between 2006 till 2008 when he returned to Ghana.

After years of investigations and with a fat dossier on his actions, UK INTERPOL requested their counterparts in Ghana to help arrest him. That was when our reporter was contacted to help arrest the suspect who was in the country.

Anas (Queen Petra), was again in disguise, seated as a female member on the auditioning panel, in an elaborate black wig, high heel shoes, with artificial breasts, buttocks and face mask with detailed makeup. The face mask was produced by a movie props company in London, the United Kingdom.

He was dressed in a pink outfit laced with black flower designs. He had his red manicure, with red lipstick to match, a ruby necklace and bracelet, capped with shiny scarf. He also wore light brown slacks to match. Other members of the panel included a top television director, a member of the INTERPOL and Sheikh Ibn Abu Talib.

According to a legal document titled 'Summary of Evidence' a copy of which is in the possession of this paper, Deeba returned to Ghana from United Kingdom after living in the UK with his fiancée, with who he has two biological kids.

His sexual exploits though were on the elder step daughter of his fiancée from an earlier relationship. The document states in parts that: “in September 2008, Akyampong left the United Kingdom and returned to Ghana. Two weeks after his departure, the girl (name withheld – who was now eight years old) told her mother (name withheld) that Akyampong had been “sleeping with” her, and that he had been using his “thing.” (The mother) understood this to mean that Akyampong had been having sex with her.”

Deeba’s actions were occasioned by the fact that he was alone with the children at their home (place withheld) because their mother worked on night shift, the reason why he moved in later to stay with the family.

Portions of the girl’s testimony to UK investigators related how he (Deeba) forced the girl to watch pornographic material before having sex with her. According to the ‘Summary of Evidence:’ “she (the young girl) stated that she had seen “white stuff” come out of his penis several occasions. She also disclosed that Akyampong had put his penis in her bottom a couple of times and that it had hurt.”

A medical examination by a forensic physician revealed later in 2009 that extensive damage had been done to the hymen of the young girl and that “there was full thickness hymenal laceration at the 5 o’clock position extending from the hymenal opening to the vaginal wall. This injury was consistent with the girl’s report of vaginal penetration,” it concluded.

There is also the issue of multiple identities on the part of the accused, who used several names amongst others such as: Richard Nimoh, Deeba Kofi Akyampong, Richard Nimoh Deeba and Deeba Kofi, same was the case with his dates of birth which varied between 1977 and 1979.

The possible line of action is that INTERPOL Ghana would most likely extradite him to face the necessary charges in the UK.

Stay tuned as we follow his extradition and trial in the UK.

PPP lauds Presidents’ nominee for education ministry

Prof Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang @ Ucc
Professor Naana Opoku Agyeman

The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has applauded the nomination of Professor Naana Opoku Agyeman for the position of Minister of Education by President John Dramani Mahama, expressing confidence that her competence and expertise would inure to the benefit of Ghana.

“There is no doubt that Professor Naana Opoku Agyeman has the requisite competence and expertise to manage effectively the portfolio of Minister of Education”, said a statement issued in Accra on Tuesday by the party and signed by the General Secretary Kofi Asamoah Siaw.

The party however requested that Appointments Committee of Parliament seek the nominee’s view on Article 25 of the 1992 Constitution that mandates all governments to implement fully the Free Compulsory Universal Basic Education Programme (FCUBE), stating that that fundamental constitutional provision had been “violated and delayed” for well over 20 years.

The statement said the PPP would not remain silent when “there is a flagrant and blatant continuous violation of the Directive Principles of State Policy” urging Parliament, through the Appointments Committee to seek to give meaning to that constitutional provision.

It noted that President Mahama had promised to implement the FCUBE by 2016, saying that the PPP expected that the execution of the FCUBE should take off by 2016, by which time all school-going children should compulsorily be in school without the payment of any form of school fees.

Thus, the party has asked the appointments Committee to request of Prof. Opuku Agyemang her plans to give full effect to the president's promise of the full implementation of the policy by the year 2016.

“The PPP would be expecting to hear from the nominee her plans to enforce the compulsory aspect of the policy by the introduction of an Education Policy. There should be clear timelines for the programme of implementation within the next four years”.

The party said it would fully support any programme that makes the full implementation of the proper FCUBE possible and the minister-designate and the government could count on the PPP in that regard.

“We believe in Justice, Inclusiveness and Opportunity for all and we therefore urge all progressive-minded members of our society to eliminate this specter of injustice and exclusivity in our society to guarantee the cohesion and unity in our polity”, said the statement.

She accused the Adentan Police of not responding to emergency calls.

“I called the Adentan police commander and he said we should make a formal report and instead of arresting that eruptible character rather my constituency Chairman has let them arrest our research guy and the one who drives our constituency car, what nonsense is that, this rubbish cannot continue,” she fumed.

AFCON 2013: Yiadom picks up injury in training

Ghana sweating on the fitness of Richmond Boakye-Yiadom

Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was unable to complete Tuesday evening’s training session after sustaining an injury.

The 19-year-old picked up the injury while going in for a tackle with an unnoticed teammate.

The on loan Juventus striker at Italian Serie-B club Sassuolo limped off the pitch with the unspecified injury.

The Black Stars medical team will assess his condition later in the evening and if necessary, will take him to the hospital tomorrow morning for further examination.

The injury to Boakye-Yiadom compounds the fitness situation in the Ghana camp ahead of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations which commences this weekend.

Ghana is already sweating on the fitness of defender Isaac Vorsah and midfielder Anthony Annan who are battling minor injuries.

Coach Akwasi Appiah will be hoping to have all his players fit for Ghana’s opening game against DR Congo on Sunday.

The team is expected to travel to South Africa on Wednesday – four clear days towards their opening Group B encounter.

The Black Stars who will be based in Port Elizabeth will also face Mali and Niger at the group stage.

Ablakwa Fires NPP; Protest Against Atuguba Is Absurd

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwah
The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwah has described as laughable and ridiculous NPP’s protest against Raymond Atuguba being a member of the nine-member panel hearing its election rigging petition.

According to Hon. Ablakwa, no judge would be left to sit on the case if the argument is stretched to relations.

“If we use just relations it would lead to a situation that no judge would sit on this matter because we know that on that same panel are relations of people who have been active in the NPP and have even been cabinet ministers” the outgoing Information Minister said.

He added that “because Raymond Atuguba has been appointed by President Mahama but to make it to the Supreme Court you should be appointed by a President so who is going to be left. So I am very surprised that people are inviting us to this absurdity”.

But the communications director of the NPP, Nana Akomea says the objection is to protect the integrity of the Judiciary.

Speaking on Metro TVs Good morning Ghana program, Nana Akomea said Ghanaians must exercise restraint and wait for the party to file its official motion on Monday.

“The lawyers representing Nana Akufo Addo, Bawumia and Otetsebi Lamptey when they saw the panel thought there would be a problem with one of the members”.

My Body Is Pornographic - Lydia Forson

Lydia Forson

Actress Lydia Forson has opened up on just how she feels about her plump and beautiful body. “It’s not my fault that my body is pornographic,” she told Fashion 101 host Sandra Ankobiah.

Forson’s rather sexy and well-toned plum body seems to have stirred up a lot of debate over the past few years, with some appreciating her all-figured-out and nicely-shaped contours.

The award-winning actress however said discovering who she was, really helped in appreciating her natural and God-given looks, caring less about what others taught about her.

“For years I did not think I was so beautiful,” she says. “For years I went through a lot trying to be what others wanted me to be”.
Talking more on her sense of fashion, Lydia, who usually comes under criticism from sections of the public for revealing just too much of her cleavage at times said: “I don’t like to show them, they are there…

“Comfort is key. “I don’t really follow trends. What works for one person doesn't work for another. “If you are confident in what you are wearing, the rest of the world would always think otherwise… I love to be comfortable and just to be me. I always want a touch of edginess in everything I do”.

Forson jokingly added that she “ wouldn't mind a spread” in the world-famous PLAYBOY magazine, insisting that “I feel we should celebrate who we are”.

The court, presided over by Mr Osei Kwame Gyamfi, however, granted bail in the sum of GH¢4,000 with a surety to Esther Annor, wife of an accomplice in the case, Kofi Annor, a polling station assistant, who is on the run.

She would also re-appear before the court on the same day together with Sarpong.

Sarpong and Esther were arrested when they went to the Goaso Police station to hand over the electoral materials in the custody of her husband to the police on December 16, 2012.

Sarpong has pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit crime, stealing and abetment of crime while Esther pleaded guilty to the charge of aiding and abetment.

When the case was called for hearing, the prosecutor, Detective Chief Inspector Francis Azambeo pleaded with the court to remand Sarpong again to enable the police continue with their investigations into the matter.

The facts of the case were that on December 7, 2012, the complainant in the case distributed electoral materials to various polling stations in the Asunafo North municipality for the presidential and parliamentary polls, in which Sarpong was the presiding officer at the Bediako CMB Shed polling station.

About 4.30 p.m. on December 10, 2012 while the complainant was cross-checking the biometric verification devices serially as to whether all the materials were intact, he realised that one of the devices with number 58 of 147 with serial number 4023915758 which was allocated to the CMB Shed polling station was no where to be found.

Sarpong was called to the Electoral Commission (EC) office at Goaso for questioning and he told the officers that the materials were sent to the police station and a police officer handed them over to the Returning Officer who was a witness in the case.

The complainant together with the other officials including Sarpong then went through the documents and it came to light that the particular device was not in the office.

The complainant then summoned all the crew and handed them to the police at Mim for investigations and upon interrogation it was revealed that after counting of the ballot on voting day, the accused failed to declare the results and tempers of the electorate arose.

A police vehicle was dispatched to convey the materials to the charge office and when the vehicle arrived Sarpong packed the materials into the vehicle and made series of phone calls, after which he discharged the materials from the vehicle and handed the ballot boxes to his accomplice, Kofi Annor.

After the police vehicle left, Sarpong promised to follow up to the police station but he failed to do so and he was later traced and arrested.

Upon further investigations, Sarpong denied stealing the materials and stated that he left the materials along the road and went back to the CMB shed to pick some of the materials but when he returned the bag containing the electoral materials were no where to be found.

On December 14, 2012 the accused was granted police enquiry bail to return on December 17, 2012, but on December 16, 2012 Esther Annor, the wife of Kofi Annor brought the electoral materials to him and both were arrested.

NDC Picks Leaders: Betty Bounces Back

Betty Mould-Iddrisu
Information picked up by DAILY GUIDE suggests that Edward Doe Adjaho, current First Deputy Speaker of Parliament has been tipped to replace Justice Joyce Bamford Addo as Speaker of the next Parliament, to be sworn in on Monday.

Doe Adjaho, MP for Ave Avenor in the Volta Region, beat two other persons including highly favoured Ken Dzirasah, former MP for South Tongu in the Volta Region to the position.

According to NDC sources, the position of First Deputy Speaker is going to Alhaji Mohammad Mumuni, MP elect for Kumbungu in the Northern Region and outgoing Minister for Foreign Affairs, with People’s National Congress (PNC) lone MP in Parliament, Alhassan Azong, as the Second Deputy Speaker.

The PNC Member of Parliament for Builsa North and Minister of State at the Presidency is from the Upper East Region.

The Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business is Dr Benjamin Kunbuor. The outgoing Minister of Justice and Attorney General is bouncing back to Parliament as MP elect for the newly created Nandom Constituency in the Upper West.

His deputy is Alfred Agbesi, MP for Ashaiman, while the Majority Whip position goes to Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, MP for Asawase.

Reports suggest that President John Dramani Mahama has also penciled Mrs. Betty Mould Iddrisu, former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, as his next Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.

It is believed that the current Minister Alhaji Mohammad Mumuni would take up the First Deputy Speaker position in Parliament.

The likely appointment of Mrs. Mould-Iddrisu, who served as Education Minister as well, forms part of efforts by the President to recognize the contribution of women in the success of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

However, she is coming with a baggage of paying the GHC51.2million to NDC financier Alfred Agbesi Woyome, who had no contract with the State among other controversial judgment debt scandals.

Other women being considered for appointments are Benita Okitiy Dua, the newly-elected MP for Ledzokuku who might be Minister of Women and Children’s Affairs at the expense of Juliana Azumah Mensah.

Dzifa Ativor, a deputy Minister of Transport as well as Moses Asaga, Minister of Employment and Social Welfare who is a personal friend of the President, is likely to be retained.

A source at the Castle said that the President is determined to ensure “a significant shift in his appointments.”

“New faces as well as young people are also being considered by the President,” the source added.

It is rumoured that current ministers including E.T. Mensah at Works and Housing, Fritz Baffuor of Information, Dr Joe Oteng Agyei of Energy, Alex Asum-Ahensan of Chieftaincy and Culture, Mike Hammah of Lands Forestry and Natural Resources and even Dr. Kwabena Dufuor of Finance and Economic Planning are not likely to be re-appointed.

In Dr. Dufuor’s case, his deputy Seth Terkpe, Dr. Samuel Cadman Mills, brother of the late President John Evans Atta Mills, and Alhassan Andani of Stanbic Bank, have all been rumoured to be considered by the President for appointment as ministers.

Regional Ministers like Ama Benyiwa Doe (Central), Paul Evans Aidoo (Western), Kwadwo Nyamekye Marfo (Brong Ahafo) and Moses Bukari Mabengba might not be considered for re-appointments.

Deputy Ministers like Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa of Information, Fifi Kwetey of Finance, Baba Jamal of Tourism are said to be on their way out of their positions to enable them to concentrate on their parliamentary work.

Spokesman for Former President Jerry John Rawlings, Kofi Adams, would get a ministerial appointment for the support he gave to the Mahama campaign.

Already, a group has started lobbying the leadership of the party to get Mr. Adams to contest the Buem seat which has been left vacant by the sudden death of Volta Regional Minister Henry Ford Kamel and analysts believe that would help him to get more recognition.

President-elect Mahama heads to court over NPP suit

President John Mahama

President John Mahama is expected to file a response to the Supreme Court by next week in connection with the NPP suit brought against him and the Electoral Commission challenging the 2012 election results.

President Mahama is also expected to enter a notice of appearance after he has been served with the writ.

Citi News sources at the castle say the petition has been served on the Chief of Staff.

The New Patriotic Party filed a suit (number J1/6/13) at the Registry of the Supreme Court on December 28th, 2012 contesting the results of the December Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

The three named plaintiffs in the suit are Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Presidential candidate of the NPP in the 2012 elections, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, running mate of the NPP presidential candidate and Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, Chairman of the NPP.

According to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia the irregularities recorded during the elections, and which has fueled their (NPP) interest in pursuing the case. were massive and pervasive which favoured the NDC noting for example that 24,000 of the pink result sheets from some polling stations indicated that those irregularities were enough to affect the results.

A member of the NDC Legal Team, Abraham Amaliba however explained to Citi News that although his outfit will not be solely responsible for defending the President in court, it will contribute it quota to ensure justice is served.

"Our interest lies in the fact that we will want to see what is in the petition. But as to whether we would be those who would defend the President or go to court on behalf of the President, does not lie in our hands. It is the President that must determine who or which lawyer would have to defend him in court."

In his opinion, per legal proceedings, "where a person has three days to file a notice of appearance and then ten days to then file his answer, then one can safely say that the President is within time to file his answer."

Why Being Overweight Could Be a Lifesaver

Being overweight could add years to a person's life, scientists suggest.

People who pile on the pounds are less likely to die early than their slender peers, the study found.

Researchers said one reason could be that fatter people were more likely to visit the doctor than healthier looking individuals.

However, the study, which examined the cases of around three million adults, found the beneficial effect was cancelled for people who were seriously obese.

Dr Katherine Flegal, of the National Centre for Health Statistics in the United States, found that people who are overweight had a six per cent lower risk of death than normal weight people.

The risk for those with a BMI (body mass index) of between 30 and 35 fell by five per cent. But those grossly obese with a BMI above 35 were 29 per cent more likely to die than slim people of the same age.

Wigan 0-4 Manchester United: Van Persie fires twice for dominant league leaders

Manchester United were treated to a New Year’s Day present as they eased past Wigan to stay seven points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.

The hosts lacked the intensity required to beat Sir Alex Ferguson’s side and were picked off by the brilliance of Robin van Persie and Chicharito. The Mexican got two goals to add to his last minute winner on Boxing Day while the Dutchman was imperious throughout.

The game was actually over as a contest before half-time, as United sauntered into 2013 with the most comfortable three points they will win away from Old Trafford this season.

Even before Chicharito scored the opening goal in the 35th minute, the striker had the ball in net. Loitering on the shoulder of the last defender, he was found in behind by van Persie and easily beat Ali Al Habsi but was correctly ruled out for offside.

That was to serve as a warning of things to come, with United scoring twice in eight minutes to seal the points before the break. Referee Andre Marriner played an excellent advantage to allow the visitors to continue attacking; Jonny Evans found Patrice Evra whose shot across goal was criminally parried back into the six-yard box by Al Habsi, with Chicharito stealing in ahead of Maynor Figueroa.

Up until that point Roberto Martinez’s Latics had been dogged without truly threatening David De Gea – their only shot was an optimistic effort from Jean Beausejour – and were guilty of playing too narrow.

Despite three players falling over in the build-up to the second, and ultimately decisive, goal, there was very little Wigan could have done to stop van Persie.

In the 43rd minute, Chicharito, who was keen to stretch the game and pull the three central defenders out of position all afternoon, capitalised on two slips to find the Dutchman in the box. Still with a lot to do, the striker surprisingly brought the ball onto his right foot before guiding an exquisite finish into the corner to send the fairly lifeless away support delirious.

It ought to have been more after the break, but United were satisfied to play in second gear and take the points without stretching themselves too strenuously.

Having said that, on the one occasion Wigan looked like scoring, United were relatively fortunate to keep their 2-0 lead. Franco Di Santo’s cross come shot found its way to Arouna Kone at the back post; he crashed it into the net only to be flagged for offside. The decision showed the grey areas in the law, with Kone’s body off but his legs on.

That moment woke the league leaders up briefly. Rafael forced his way into the final third and was brought down 25 yards from goal. Van Persie stepped up, saw his shot blocked, but there was Chicharito again to pounce and drive his second goal past Al Habsi, who had no chance, before van Persie finished the rout late on.

Mistakes That Women Make in Bed

Not too long ago, we posted an article on the most common mistakes men make in bed. Well guess what, ladies It’s YOUR turn. You didn't think you were getting off free and clear did you? Sure, Kasapahene.blogspot.com is geared towards women but that doesn't mean we can’t check ourselves every once in a while – especially when it comes to sex. While I’m sure a lot of my sisters are holding in down in the bedroom, there could be a few things we probably need to address. Men often say that it is hard (no pun intended) to have bad sex but ladies, please don’t pat your collective selves on the back. We have work to do! Let’s explore these common female frisky faux pas.

Dead Fish

The most common complaint I hear from men about women when it comes to sex is that some of them just lay there. They expect a man to just, in the words of Celie, “climb on top of me and do his bid’ness.” Ladies, please say it isn’t so! Now if this is you, let me be clear: he ain’t coming back if you just roll over and play dead. Unless there is some physical challenge you have that keeps you from moving your hips, then MOVE! If you’re not sure what to do, pretend like you’re dancing, find his rhythm and then match it. Now, if he’s a jack rabbit, that may be hard to do…and he’s probably not concerned if you’re not moving anyway because he’s moving too fast for the both of you. But if he’s got a nice, smooth, sensual flow going, then go with him! Don’t just assume that your pretty face and hot body are enough to keep him interested sexually, because if you’re just lying there, it won’t matter. He’ll never come back for more.

Silence

If simply laying there motionless is bad, laying there silently is even worse. Men like to know that they’re pleasing you and their egos can’t handle you lying there without so much as even giving them a grunt or a moan or something. He’ll be thinking, “I wonder if she’d rather be watching TV?” Maybe you are laying there wondering when he’ll be finished, but that’s when it’s really your turn to speak up. If you’re not satisfied sexually, tell him what you like and either show or explain to him how to do it. There is no excuse for any grown A$ woman in 2013 (or these last days of 2012) to not be getting hers sexually, so if he’s wack in bed, you are partly to blame if you don’t speak up. Believe it or not, most men welcome – and are turned on – by a little guidance and direction. By not giving him any feedback, you’re just allowing him to think he’s doing something, and you’re short changing yourself in the process. It’s not about criticizing him, it’s about telling him what pleases you so that you both have a great experience.

No Adventure

Okay, so you move and talk a little bit but missionary is about as far as you’ll go. For some men, that may work just fine, but for others…that simply won’t do. He may love you so much that he’ll tolerate your lack of creativity but if you really want to get things poppin’ in the sack, try a different position, talk dirty to him or have sex somewhere other than the bedroom. Spice it up a bit! I know some of you “good girls” might be thinking “eewww! I can’t/won’t do that” but trust and believe, there is another woman out there who will. Now I’m not suggesting that you force yourself to do something that is totally uncomfortable for you or that makes you feel degraded, but simply open your mind up to new possibilities. Don’t turn your nose up at his fantasies or call other women sluts because they like to get down a little differently than you do. Instead, figure out what boundaries you’re willing to cross and then take notes. Watch an adult video to get some ideas. Whatever you do, don’t allow your sex life to become routine.

Body Odor/Functions

Okay, I know you all know this already, but it needs to be said anyway. Ladies, keep it clean, shaved, trimmed, polished, whatever you need to do to maintain good hygiene. This may mean different things to different women, because some like it hairy, some like it clean of hair – whatever floats your boat. Just make sure everything is “right” down there before you get busy. I know during certain times of the month things might not be as “fresh” as it they could be so pay attention to your body and be a lady about it. Unless you know he’s into that sort of thing, don’t assume a man wants to have sex when your “Aunt Flo” is in town. That could freak him out and nothing traumatizes a man more than his sheets looking like a crime scene when you’re done. If he’s into that though, just lay down some dark colored towels and keep it moving. Well, that’s what I heard.

Body Issues

If you are unhappy with your body and are self conscious about your love handles, pooches or droopy breasts, he will probably feel weird too and that’s not hot. Don’t be one of those women who has sex with the lights out or under the covers so that he can’t see you; own your body and embrace your imperfections. If you can’t do that, then do something about it. Hit the gym, eat right and boost your self esteem so that you don’t carry your body issues into the bedroom with you. Chances are you’re probably not really “hiding” anything anyway so if he already wants to have sex with you, he already knows what you’re working with. How you carry yourself is what makes you attractive, so work what you’ve got with confidence and rock his world!

Teeth

If your man is lucky enough to be blessed with oral pleasure, remember rule number one: NO TEETH. Even if they just “graze” him, that could make for a very unpleasant experience. Unless you have dentures, you can’t take them out, so I realize teeth-to-skin contact might be a hard thing to avoid. It simply may take practice, but just be careful. You’re handling delicate man parts when engaging in oral sex, so treat it like ice cream, not a hot dog. And if you have fangs or braces, take EXTRA care…no scraping allowed.
