It has felt like a long time in coming, but tonight Juventus will finally inaugurate their brand new stadium on the site of the Stadio delle Alpi, five years after they waved goodbye to the old venue.
This evening's English opponents Notts County were handpicked for the occasion due to their status as the oldest professional club in football, as well as their previous close ties with Juve which include them having once lent the Italians the black and white striped jerseys they would later adopt as their own.
The Bianconeri will host a competitive game at the new arena for the first time on Sunday, when Parma visit for a Serie A season opener.
The new facility will give Juventus the luxury of playing in their very own venue, and it is hoped that many Italian clubs will follow suit in order to bring the regular matchday experience up to speed with other countries around Europe.
THE FIGURES
100,000,000 - The total cost in Euros of the stadium project41,000 - The capacity of the ground, which is 14,000 up on a full Stadio Olimpico, but 28,295 down on the old Stadio delle Alpi.
3,600 - The number of seats in the 'Premium' sections which will be used to host corporate guests and VIPs, helping to fill the ground's 120 executive boxes.
7,000 - That's how many panels adorn the external facier of the stadium, each made of Alucobond, a brand of lightweight aluminium.
7.5 - In metres, that's how far you'll be from the edge of the pitch if you're sat in the front row. And you'll only be 49 metres back if sat in the last row of the top tier.
240 - The maximum number of seconds it will take to evacuate the entire stadium in the event of an emergency.
