Black Stars coach Goran Stevanovic sacked

Reliable information available to XYZ Sportsindicates that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has finally sacked the coach of the senior national football team, Goran Stevanovic.

The Serbian trainer was given a two-week lifeline within which the FA would further study his technical report from the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations where the Black Stars finished fourth.

The GFA today deferred the decision on the future of the 45 year-old until next week but, XYZ Sportscan confirm that the coach will be officially informed on Friday, March 9, about the decision to terminate his contract.

Radio XYZ sources also indicate that Goldfields Ghana, headline sponsor of the Black Stars has agreed to pay a compensation of 670,000 euros to the former Partizan Belgrade coach whose contract ends in January 2013.
