P.C Appiah Ofori |
Mr Jinapor claims the assertions by the former legislator are "naked lies".
The former NPP MP had claimed in an interview with the Daily Guide Newspaper that he turned down the President’s offer to make him a minister in his administration a few weeks after he had taken office.
He also claimed the President subsequently offered to appoint him as an Ambassador but he rejected that as well.
But in an apparent reaction to the story, John Jinapor, writing on his facebook page on Monday February 18, 2013, denied the claim and rather admonished the anti-graft campaigner to learn to speak the truth at all times, no matter the repercussions.
"His Excellency President John Mahama has at no point/time offered Mr. P.C Appiah Ofori any ministerial appointment, left alone to champion anti-corruption administration in his government. As politicians we must speak learn to speak the truth at all times, no matter the consequences and endeavour to desist from such blatant cum naked lies," John Jinapor wrote.
